Working with watercolors is something I started painting with two years ago and it became the one I like working with the most. It is challenging since it dries almost as fast as when it touches the paper, and it can only be done by one small section at a time when doing detail work, this will keep it from bleeding and causing an overlap that will put a line down the middle. Many use the watercolor from tubes but I prefer using Dr. Ph Martin's concentrated water colors.

Many times I have seen things that I can imagine it become a painting. When I was visiting at Washington DC, I saw the two statues in front of the Capital. They both attracted me because of the detail and realism in the work that the sculpture artist had creagted. When I see things like this I see the idea to put it into a painting. In taking this stature and made it into the paiting. The goal was to work towards doing four paintings, one for each of the four seasons, fall, winter, summer, and spring. I decided to do a painting dividing two for the South and two for the North. I chose this to be the the summer and in research put together several photos of the night colors, trees, moon, and various photos of people on horses for the background. Photos are what I have used most of the time and is the reason I have photography as a secondary in art. |
Art has been the one thing that I have enjoyed either for businesses, individuals, or just for the joy of expressing my heart and talent on canvas. One of my greatest opportunities has been working with children both in schools and individually. It is sharing a part of myself that every artist expresses into his art itself.
